Important Dates
August 18, 2009: Tested positive on two tests. (A third to follow the next morning.)
August 21, 2009: Doctors appointment to confirm.
September 12-15, 2009: Babys first ‘vacation’ with Mommy and Daddy in San Francisco.
September 21, 2009: Doctors appointment with OBGYN
September 24, 2009: First Ultrasound. Got to see our little monkey!
October 20, 2009: Second doctors appointment. Got to hear monkey’s heartbeat for the first time.
November 16, 2009: Third doctors appointment. Daddy got to hear monkey’s heartbeat for the first time. We recorded it so everyone could hear.
Early December 2009: First movement.
December 14, 2009: Got a fetal heartbeat doppler. Kids got to hear baby in realtime. Had to put it away until Christmas.
December 17, 2009: Second ultrasound! (And 4th appointment) We find out you’re a girl!!
January 13, 2010: Fifth doctors appointment.
January 17, 2010: Monkey’s first plane rides from Reno to Chicago, then Chicago to Philadelphia. Mommy discovers Monkey doesn’t like turbelence with a nice jab in the ribs from Monkey’s foot!
January 19, 2010: Monkey decides to jab Mommy again with her foot. Mommy can feel Monkey’s foot and tickles it back into place.
January 22, 2010: Mommy’s Pappy passes away on the day Mommy and Monkey are to fly back to Reno. Sad, long day for Mommy.
February 3, 2010: Sixth Doctors Appointment. Mommy does the Glucose test. (Starting every 2 week appointments)
February 8, 2010: Mommy gets a call back saying that her sugar levels were elevated and she needs to do the 3 hour glucose test.
February 10, 2010: Mommy does the 3 hour glucose test.
February 17, 2010: Seventh Doctors Appointment. Doctor says the test came back elevated on one draw, but the rest were within normal levels and that he wasn’t worried at that point.
March 3, 2010: Eighth Doctors Appointment. Mommy’s weight jumped up a lot (Mommy hadn’t gained much weight) so doctor became concerned and put Mommy on Metformin. Doctor wants Mommy to come back weekly for awhile.
March 10, 2010: Ninth Doctors Appointment. Mommy lost more than half the weight she’d gained from the previous week.
March 13, 2010: Baby Shower for Monkey! We get lots of great things for Monkey and everyone has a good time.
March 17, 2010: Tenth Doctors Appointment. Things are looking normal so the Doctor tells Mommy to wait two weeks and come back.
March 19, 2010: Monkey ‘drops’ and produces two weeks full of intense pain for Mommy.
March 31, 2010: Eleventh Doctors Appointment. Doctor says things look good and its time to go back to weekly appointments. Mommy also is to start twice weekly Nonstress Tests (NST) the following day because of the ’suspected’ Gestational Diabetes. No effacement or dialation.
April 1, 2010: First NST.
April 5, 2010: Second NST, Twelth doctors Appointment. Things are looking good. Mommy is 50% effaced and almost 2cm dialated.
April 8, 2010: Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Thomas are down for a visit. Mommy gets a pregnancy massage that Grandma Patsy bought for Christmas. Mommy asks the massuese to hit any special ‘labor’ spots. Third NST. No contractions. No monkey.
April 9, 2010: Sleepover in Reno with Grandma, Grandpa and Ethan and Andreah.
April 11, 2010: Early birthday party for Daddy. Still no Monkey.
April 12, 2010: Fourth NST.
April 15, 2010: Fifth NST. Thirteenth and final doctors appointment. NST looks good, but the doctor would like to induce early for health reasons. Mommy has no issues with that as she wants to meet you.
April 17, 2010: Grandma and Grandpa arrive.
April 20, 2010: You arrived into this world at 2:39 am!

Cravings
First trimester: tomatoes, cereal, roast beef sandwiches.
Second trimester: potatoes, salad, pepperoni bagel bites, any sandwich with jalapenos on it, mashed potatoes, coca cola
Third trimester: roast beef, jalapenos, cookies, iced tea, hot tea, chocolate ice cream & strawberries.
